โSolve As You Track
After solving, if you want to add an additional tracker, create it
and change it to a ZWT (use the W keyboard accelerator if you like). Keep the Quad view open. Begin tracking. Watch as the 3-D point leaps into existence, wanders around as you track, and hopefully converges to a stable location. As you track, you can watch the per-frame and overall error numbers at the bottom of the tracker panel.
ZWTs benefit from the Track/Search from solved tracker search prediction method. Once the ZWT is solved, that 3-D location is used to predict the tracker's 2-D search location, so the search region size can be kept quite small (as long as the overall solve and tracker location are good), reducing the chances of hopping to an unrelated similar-looking feature.
Bring up the graph editor, and take a quick look at the error curve for any spikesโsince the position is already calculated, the error is valid.
Once youโve completed tracking, change the tracker back to normal mode .
Repeat for additional new trackers as needed. You can use the same approach modifying existing trackers, temporarily shifting them to ZWTs and back.
When you do your next Refine cycle using the Solver panel, the trackers will be solved normally, and influence the solution in the usual way. But, you were able to use the ZWT capability to help do the tracking better and quicker.
