โLock Children
Turn this on if you want to move a pivot without moving the pivots of its children . Normally, when you move the parent, the children are carried along automatically as a consequence of their hierarchy. If the child pivots are correct, and only the parent needs adjustment, turning this on lets you do that, by creating opposite motions for the child pivots, so they stay put. This setting is shared system wide; you can see it on the main Edit menu and the 3D views' right-click menu.
