โMinimize Rolling Shutter
Minimize rolling shutter by choice of camera, by choosing faster camera readout rates (if possible), by accurately measuring the rolling shutter fraction on- set at the shoot (with a left-right zig-zag sequence with the actual camera setup), or by minimizing pan/tilt rates during shots. Rolling shutter effects can overwhelm the fine anamorphic distortions weโre trying to eliminate; distortion shouldnโt be calculated during rapid slews. You can have SynthEyes solve for it, compensated tracker data, but that makes the match hard to examine, and most downstream applications canโt render matching footage.
