โ€ŒShot setup JSON File

When you โ€˜Send to SynthEyesโ€™, a description of the clip is written to this JSON file: its name, where to find it, resolution, length, aspect ratio, where to put the sni file, the export file, etc. Much of this information isnโ€™t actually needed, but is included as a cross-check.

The JSON file contains only relative pathnames; they are interpreted to be relative to the folder containing the JSON file. That makes it easy to move the JSON file and Clip folder around on a machine, or from one machine to another if needed.

SynthEyes is told to process this file using an obscure โ€˜Flame Initial Startupโ€™ script, which sets up the shot in SynthEyes to conclude the โ€˜Send to SynthEyesโ€™ process.

You might notice that a โ€˜Script/Flame/Load shot setup from Flameโ€™ script is available on the Script/Flame menu; it is the same file as โ€˜Flame Initial Startup,โ€™ although it behaves a little differently when run during startup. If you want to use the JSON file to reimport a shot into SynthEyes, you can use โ€˜Script/Flame/Load shot setup from Flameโ€™ to do so; you then specify which JSON file specifies the shot to be opened.

The script is also used by โ€˜Reopen in SynthEyesโ€™ from the Action menu.
