โProject Tag Manager Reference โ
The Project Tag Manager presents a straightforward look at all the tag-based folder placements for the current project (ie in the /User/Current/Preferences/Folder Preferences preset area). Itโs basically a user-interface to the Folder Preferences area of the Preferences panels, plus a side dose of โKeep File Specsโ from Multi-Export Configuration, with a little pixie dust on the side. The result helps you manage entire folder structures for project managementโor simply see all the folder preferences at once even if you arenโt using projects at all.
To make the listing clearer and more space-efficient, there are two shortcuts in the display (which you can take advantage of while entering locations as well):
@ means your File/User Data Folder.
% means <PROJECTS><PROJ>
You can see that in this example screen capture:
Projects. This folder-browsing control sets the value of the <PROJECTS> tag. (Thatโs all.) Youโll generally keep this the same for all your projects, changing only the short project tag <PROJ> using the Project Selector to put all the files for a project within the Projects folder via a <PROJECTS><PROJ> specification (appearing with a % sign). If youโre not using a project-based setup, leave this field blank.
Copy Tag to Clipboard. Selecting one of the tags on this dropdown copies its code (for example <SHOTNAME>) onto the clipboard, where you can then paste it into one or more of the preferences.
Reset to default. Select one of the tags in this dropdown to reset it to its defaultโfrom the /Built-in area in most cases, but to the Multi-Export Files setting in /User for exporters.
Add Exporter Setting. Selecting an exporter here adds a new line to the panel that sets an export location for that exporter. Note: the panel will close then reopen, so all changes will immediately be stored to the presets and wonโt be cancelable from the newly expanded panel. You can undo from the Workflow Preset Manager if really necessary.
Remove Exporter Setting. Selecting an exporter here removes the special export location setting for that exporter. Note: the panel will close then reopen, so all changes will immediately be stored to the presets and wonโt be cancelable from the newly expanded panel. You can undo from the Workflow Preset Manager if really necessary.
(Built-in folder preferences) The standard folder preferences available through the Edit/Edit Preferences are listed next; the Project Tag Manager makes it easy to see them all in one place.
(Added exporter-specific preferences) Exporter-specific folder locations are listed lastl youโll see them marked with โExporter: โ in front of the exporter name. Use the Add and Remove Export Setting controls above as necessary.
